Description
| Programme 2000 Provision of Public-Interest Aims introduced the idea of best practices. As a principal owner of forests, Lesy České republiky, s.p. covers many activities. A lot of financial resources are invested to recovery forests damaged by air pollution in border areas, to the rehabilitation and maintenance of forest roads, which today are not only used for forest management, but also for hiking and biking. Recently activities are focused on enlightenment of the public. The general consciousness of the public of the state of forest, of differentiation in ownership relations to forest and of the level of forest management is inadequate. The results of sociological research are convincing us of this. For this reason it is important to suitably inform the public about the services provided by LČR in the public interest, that the former manages the forest so, that the citizen obtains the necessary and required benefits, despite the fact, that these cannot be expressed in monetary terms. Between the services they provided belong work with the young generation, then promotion of cultural, social and humanitarian activities. That’s happened in tradition of LČR, and is accepted positively by the public. |
